How do I install DisplayLink drivers?
WARNING! This step is only for SmartDesk Connect D (SDC-D).
Instructions for Mac
- Download DisplayLink Manager for macOS and install the package file.
- Once installed, open DisplayLink Manager. It will appear in the menu bar located in the top-right of the screen.
- Download and install the login screen extension.
- Enable automatic startup by selecting "Launch app automatically after logging in."
- Now connect the SmartDesk Type-D and verify the monitors are detected.
- Then navigate to System Preferences and open Security & Privacy.
- Under the Privacy tab, select Screen Recording from the column on the left.
- Grant screen recording permission to DisplayLink Manager.
Instructions for Windows
- Download and install DisplayLink Manager for Windows from the Microsoft Store.
- Once installed, launch DisplayLink Manager. It will appear in the taskbar located in the bottom-right of the screen.
- Now connect the SmartDesk Type-D and verify the monitors are detected.
Check Compatibility
A Thunderbolt 3 port is required to connect. Select your laptop from the menu below to check the compatibility.
